Install DBPanacea Clients
|
|
Installing the DBPanacea client programs consists of downloading and installing SQLEditor and TemplateMaker. Each program has its own installation executable:
These programs install the client software on the local computer.
When you download DBPanacea from the HHPN Web site, the download process copies these executables to your computer. For information about downloading DBPanacea, see Install DBServer.
By default the SQLEditor and TemplateMaker installations create folders named for each program under the Program Files folder on the destination computer.
Each program folder contains the following subfolders, along with the executable and related files.
|
Folder name |
Description |
|
Classes |
Contains the Java archive (.jar) files that support SQLEditor functionality. |
|

On computers running Windows or Sun UNIX, DBPanacea automatically installs and defines a path to the Sun JDK. On computers running other operating systems, the setup program locates any installed versions of the Java run-time environment and prompts you to select the one you want to use with DBPanacea.
To use SQLEditor, you should have a basic knowledge of SQL command syntax and relational databases.
To use TemplateMaker, you should have a basic knowledge of HTML syntax and Web page design.
